There was this bat at the Cathedral of St. Paul that "didn't know it was supposed to stay in the belfry," Father Bob said Friday. Father Bob told me that he asked parishioners at the Sunday noon mass "to pray that it'd return from whence it came, and by the afternoon service at 5 it was nowhere to be seen." That made perfect sense to Father Bob: "Well, you only need to go to church once."
