PROJECT OVERVIEW:
A Dutch/Vietnamese joint venture, operating under the name of AKZO NOBEL CHANG CHENG, is currently gearing-up to build a new powder coatings plant in Vietnam. The partners in the planned undertaking include Netherlands-based AKZO NOBEL N.V. and the local CHANG CHENG SECURITIES.
The planned factory, to be sited on a 10,000 square meter site at Ho Chi Minh City, is intended to enable manufacturing AKZO's Interpon powder coatings range. Project completion of undisclosed size or cost, is scheduled for some time around the end of the year 2002.
