The Vietnamese government recently approved construction plans for the Phu My 2.2 power plant that was proposed by a French/Japanese joint venture. The partners in the planned undertaking include the local ELECTRICITE DE VIETNAM (EDV), France-based ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE INTERNATIONAL (EDFI), a subsidiary of ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE (EDF), in conjunction with SUMITOMO CORP. and TOYO ELECTRIC POWER INTERNATIONAL CO.
