If asked to imagine a flexible circuit conductor, most folks would hold in their mind's eye the image of a flat copper circuit trace. Not much of a surprise there. Most of the world's flex circuits are fabricated using copper. Why not? Copper is a great choice. It is abundant, relatively low-cost, offers very high conductivity and is easily plated and etched. Furthermore, there are several different types of copper available.
