PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local ROYAL COURT DIWAN recently awarded a major construction contract for a new interchange at Al-Khuwair in Muscat to CONSOLIDATED CONTRACTORS CO. OMAN, a subsidiary of CONSOLIDATED CONTRACTORS INTERNATIONAL CO. (CCC) of Greece.
According to the terms of the award, CONSOLIDATED CONTRACTORS will be responsible for: - The construction of 5 bridges; - Building the associated ramps and retaining walls; - The conversion of 3 streets into dual motorways.
The cost to complete the infrastructure works has been pegged at $20,000,000. And, project completion is scheduled for April 2003.
