Soldiering all the way through HBO's 10-hour "Band of Brothers" is a challenge and outwardly might seem too much a chore.
That said, here's the recruitment pitch. Do your duty and enlist Sunday, when the first two hours are presented back-to-back. You'll emerge a better person after finally being discharged on Nov. 4.
No one is under orders, of course. Maybe you're bone tired of "The Greatest Generation," and assume you've already marched to that drummer. Combat fatigue is understandable under such circumstances.
Let's remember, though, that the surviving veterans of World War II didn't grab megaphones en masse and demand all praise and glory. ...
