Greta gets the Point.
While more than a few network newsies say they don't care about ratings, CNN's Greta Van Susteren studies the daily Nielsens like a Talmudic scholar.
"I think most news people are lying if they say they don't look at the numbers," says Van Susteren, host of "The Point" (8:30 ET weeknights). "We're in a service industry. How else can you know whether you're serving your audience?"
Judging by the August ratings, Van Susteren _ CNN's only prime-time female host _ is quickly becoming a master chef in CNN's kitchen.
