A Rochester-based nonprofit group plans to build a $12million veterans center on the block where Midtown Plaza was demolished in March 1999.
The two-story, 82,000-square-***foot center will be a mix of office and residential space. It'll bring together some veterans services already provided in Syracuse and add new ones. The center will employ 75 people, which includes 30 new jobs.
Among the services it will provide are adult day health care for veterans, transitional housing for homeless veterans, and work therapy and chemical dependency programs. Some existing ...
