We're No.1 - in fresh cabbage, cottage cheese and cream cheese!
While New York state produces an abundance of just about every food imaginable, there are only a few commodities in which the Empire State ranks supreme.
And they are fresh cabbage, creamed and low-fat cottage cheese and cream cheese.
Certainly not a group one would want to see all in one meal, but important items nonetheless.
Madison County does its part to contribute to the cabbage and cottage and cream cheese bragging rights.
In Canastota, Queensboro Farm Products produces 12,000 pounds of cottage cheese a week. ...
