KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ --

Sprint (NYSE: FON, PCS) and Northwest Airlines(R) have teamed up with the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings football teams to help seriously-ill children reach their health care destinations. The Million Mile Mission will award Northwest Airlines WorldPerks(R) miles to children who need air travel to reach their medical treatment. Two lucky children will also get an up-close view of their local team as a Scout for the Day.
