If Kellerman Woodworks was not so committed to designing each of its customers a very special kitchen, it would probably be running less flexible machinery in its 10,000-square-foot shop. Clearly the company would have less need for its very versatile DMC Polisand widebelt sander if it were producing frameless cabinets and outsourcing its doors and drawer fronts instead of producing them in-house.
But not only do the Baton Rogue company's customers prefer traditional face-frame construction, they often specify a local wood species that is not exactly off-the-shelf.
