Intern, owned and trained by Louie Roussel III, overtook Illinois-bred Minor Wisdom in deep stretch en route to a neck victory in the $121,300 Sea O'Erin Breeders' Cup Mile on Monday at Arlington Park.

Eddie Martin Jr. rode the son of Dynaformer, who covered the mile over firm turf in 1:35.76. Kris's Sleigh, also trained by Roussel and ridden by Randall Meier, set the pace covering the first 7 furlongs in 1:22.36 after posting a quarter-mile fraction of 23.41, a half-mile split of 46.37 and a speedy three-quarters of a mile in 1:10.59.
