CHAMPAIGN - Clearly, Brandon Lloyd already is the big-play guy for Illinois.
The superquick receiver with more moves than Madonna established that in a hurry, rocketing the Illini to an eye-opening 44-17 romp through California.
Lloyd's 8 catches for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Saturday's season opener made him the obvious choice as Big Ten offensive player of the week.
"We'll use Brandon as a little-play guy, too," coach Ron Turner said Monday. "Just having him on the field is a threat that opens up our running game and gives the other receivers a chance to do something."
