28 PERCENT RISE IN SALES FOR 2ND QUARTER

DUBLIN, Ohio, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardinal Distribution, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDIC) today reported a 53 percent increase in net earnings and a 28 percent increase in net sales for its fiscal second quarter, ended Sept. 30, 1989. For the fiscal first half, net earnings from continuing operations increased 55 percent and net sales increased 29 percent.

For the second quarter, net earnings were $2,792,000, or $.27 per share on a fully diluted basis, versus $1,820,000, or $.22 per share fully diluted, for the year-earlier quarter. ...
