Men have sex with groupies and then steal their mascara in the bright, funny "Rock Star."
The sex is meaningless, but the makeup means everything as Steel Dragon, a fictitious `80s heavy-metal band modeled on Judas Priest, hits the road with a new lead singer. He's Chris (Mark Wahlberg), plucked from the obscurity of a Steel Dragon tribute band to perform with his idols. But there is metallic justice in store for him: Chris was picked because of his slavish insistence on duplicating Steel Dragon's every move (nipple piercings included), but when he's forced to behave exactly like his predecessor, he realizes the emptiness of his dream.
