Newspaper stories during the recent trial of Mitzi Badger focused on the serious issues of the breakup of a marriage, the science of ethylene glycol poisoning and allegations of murder and manslaughter.
But there were other, far less serious things being played out during the trial, as well. Like the coffee-cup controversy. And the ethanol-methanol mix-up. And did you hear the one about the minister and the scientist who go into a restaurant together?
First, the coffee cup.
County Judge Joe Fahey is a coffee drinker and he always has a huge mug on the bench in the morning for his a.m. caffeine fix.
