UNIVERSAL HEALTH SERVICES ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER RESULTS
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Health Services Inc. (NASDAQ: UHSIB) announced today that its net income in the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 1989, was $598,000 or $.05 per share compared to $121,000 or $.01 per share for the same period last year.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, 1989, net income was $7,994,000 or $.55 per share compared to $6,231,000 or $.42 per share in the prior year. Net revenues for the quarter were $140,248,000, up 4.7 percent from the same period last year. Net revenues for the nine months were $440,742,000, up 5.7 percent from the prior year. ...
