The results of a national vending machine pilot test in middle and high schools released today show that milk is a hit with kids as long as it is offered when, where and how they like it.
In fact, the vending machine test shows that milk consumption in schools has the potential to increase up to 4 percent, or 16.3 million gallons of milk, per school year. That's important news to an industry fighting a 30-year decline in milk sales, particularly among teen boys and girls.
