A 37-foot catamaran with a strong connection to Madison is holding its own on a 23,000-mile sail around the world.
The trip has been far from uneventful, and it is far from over. About 1,000 miles were added to this journey because one of two engines failed in June.
That meant the four-person crew - which includes Jo Ries, Dave Hess and wife Stacy Cohen of Wisconsin - bypassed the Cook Islands and headed for Tonga instead.
