NORMAN, Okla. _ Try, for a second, to picture 41-point underdog North Texas taking its opening drive for a score against the defending national champion Oklahoma Sooners.
Somehow, the Mean Green did. Reality soon followed, enough to settle down the antsy Memorial Stadium faithful.
It took more work than expected as the No. 3-ranked Sooners (3-0) couldn't swat the pesky Mean Green away until late in the third quarter, finally rolling to a 37-10 victory before a crowd of 74,930.
"It's a win, but I wouldn't say it was a good win," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. "They had an excellent game plan and outplayed us in a lot of parts of the football ...
