Teen pop star Mandy Moore launched her career by singing the national anthem at local sporting events in her native Orlando, Fla.
The 17-year-old estimates she's performed the song 115 times - and yes, she's sick of it. She's also sick of being dismissed as a Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera wannabe.
The obvious differences between Ms. Moore and her better-known counterparts - she doesn't wear revealing clothing or appear in suggestive photo shoots - have helped her carve out a niche as one of pop's more wholesome teens.
