WHEN Adrienne Gleeson was given a [pound]70 parking ticket, her first thought was to pay up and put it down to experience.

But shortly afterwards she was diagnosed with breast cancer and found herself with far bigger worries.

The 54-year-old freelance writer, who already suffered from muscular dystrophy, had an operation to remove the lump, followed by eight stressful months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Understandably, she forgot completely about the ticket.
