Sep 12, 2001 (The Mercury
ABIX via COMTEX) -- Tasmanian Banking Services (TBS) has launched its new branch in central Hobart. TBS is a joint venture between Tasmanian Trustees and Bendigo Bank. TBS branches focus on customer service, are open on Saturday mornings, and charge the same fees for electronic transactions and over-the-counter services. The Hobart branch is the fourth TBS outlet to open in less than a year. TBS managing director, Mark Scanlon, noted a lack of personal service was a common complaint against the industry. Hobart branch manager, David McDavitt, said TBS offered full services for both consumers and business clients.
