KING YVES RULES PARIS WITH SOFT, LOOSER SHAPES
PARIS -- They're two divas, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge, and they both love the spotlight.
"If Yves weren't on the scene, there would be no Paris couture," Berge announced after the Saint Laurent show Wednesday. "The future depends on him." Meanwhile, Saint Laurent held court backstage. When asked if this was his best collection, he replied: "Yes; it's fate. Each collection is the best, and even if I don't think so myself, everyone else will."
This season the divas were right. Yves's reign continues. Saint Laurent is in better shape than he was last season, and the collection reflected ...
