SANTA ANA, Calif. _ An advertising rep and a career counselor. Together, their skills are the perfect marriage between evaluation and attractive packaging.
Advertising rep Ann Hult Crowell and career counselor Ann Coil met in the 1980s and gradually left their careers to develop materials that help others cultivate their professional lives.
Today, they run People Works. From their office, they write, organize and package the Career Portfolio, a practical, hands-on workbook that is "supposed to get dog-eared and dirty" as people use it to manage their careers. The materials come in a binder, with pockets and room to insert paperwork along the way.
