Years of Hard Work Ahead for Life Sciences Research Facility Near Pine Bluff
FOR A DECADE, JEFFERSON County leaders have dreamed of a research, technology and production complex.
Many called it a pipe dream, and it's been more like a nightmare for those working to bring it into place.
But in April, the federal government transferred ownership of 1,500 acres of pristine Woodlands on the northern boundary of the Pine Bluff Arsenal to the Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County to develop into what is being called the Bioplex. And more people are starting to believe.
