ARLINGTON, Va. -- Most people spend up to 90% of their time indoors, where air pollution levels are often 10 times' those of outdoor levels.
This poor indoor air quality results from reduced natural ventilation -- a phenomenon that has developed in recent years from tighter, more
energy-efficient building construction, according to the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI).
