The day after Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, Larry Kegan called his friend, Rabbi Asher Zeilingold, to leave a message that included the words to his latest song. A paraplegic since a diving accident at age 15 and a quadriplegic after a car accident a decade later, Kegan explained that every day was "thanksgiving" for him.
"Every misfortune can be a blessing in disguise," his lyrics concluded.
Kegan, 59, who died of cardiac arrest Tuesday, was a St. Paul singer/songwriter who performed in concert with Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Jackson Browne. He sang at Gov. Jesse Ventura's inaugural ...
