Effective in the fall 2002, the Pacific Princess will no longer be deployed as part of the Princess Cruises' fleet, leaving after completing her 2002 Bermuda season.
The 640-passenger/20,000-gross-register ton Pacific Princess entered service as the Sea Venture in 1972 and has been a part of the Princess fleet since 1975. The ship became well known around the world in 1977 when she served as the primary setting for the long-running TV series "The Love Boat."
