Shoppers made retail complexes in Central New York ghost towns Tuesday as the horrific news that the United States was attacked began sinking in.
One by one, retailers closed their stores in Carousel Center, ShoppingTown, Great Northern and other malls and shopping centers around Central New York.
Carousel Center management made a decision in mid-afternoon to close the mall at 5 p.m., an unprecedented move on an unbelievable day.
