Manufacturer Converts Entire Library Of Drawings To AutoCad
APV Baker FM, Inc., a manufacturer of bakery equipment including ovens, proofers, coolers and conveyors, recently moved their engineering staff. In the course of preparing for the move, the company faced a major CAD/CAM planning decision.
They had been using the Unigraphics I system for the last eight years and had generated over 20,000 drawings on it. A cost study demonstrated that the expense of moving the system, including adding the necessary air conditioning system at the new location, would exceed the cost of purchasing personal computers and AutoCad software for the engineering staff. ...
