MICHIGAN INVESTOR GROUP TO WAIT ONE MORE WEEK FOR ACCEPTANCE
BY KNIGHT-RIDDER OF $68 MILLION OFFER TO PURCHASE DETROIT FREE PRESS
BIRMINGHAM, Mich., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Investor Group announced today that it is willing to wait until Wednesday, Nov. 8, for an answer from Knight-Ridder, Inc., before "taking another approach" on its four-day-old offer to purchase the Detroit Free Press for $68 million.
