The Culture and Youth Committee of the European Parliament voted to maintain the level of budget lines dedicated to European youth organisations on September 3, after the Commission proposed cuts to help finance internal administrative costs. Budget lines A-3023 and A-3029 support the work of the European Youth Forum and the work of the International Non-Governmental Youth Organisations (INGYOs) respectively. The European Commission has proposed a reduction of the A-3023 line to Euro 1.8 million and of the A-3029 line to Euro 1.26 million for 2001.
