Onondaga County's 15 villages and four of its hamlets have an opportunity to participate in a state program that provides tax breaks as incentives for businesses to expand and create jobs.
The county's Empire Zone Administrative Board last month agreed to let villages and the hamlets of Brewerton, Jamesville, Mattydale and Nedrow each designate up to five acres of land where eligible businesses could receive the tax incentives.
