Companies Increasingly Turn to Video Conferencing.

Sep. 19--It's certainly cheaper than flying; often it's just as effective as an in-person meeting. And with last week's terrorist hijackings of four airliners, video conferencing figures to become an increasingly common business tool.

Video conferencing had already been on the upswing at many companies as they looked to shave travel costs and run their businesses more efficiently.

Minneapolis-based U.S. Bancorp, which has video conferencing centers at 10 regional headquarters, has been getting executives together via TV for years.
