Sep. 20--The state-owned National Electronics and Computer Technology Centre (Nectec) expects to sell 100,000 budget personal computers in the six months starting in October, according to director Thaweesak Koanantakool.
The target group for the Nectec PCs will be those wanting basic Internet access and simple applications that do not require high-speed performance PCs, as well as those who cannot afford or do not want brand-name PCs.
Nectec initiated the project to help people obtain standardised and high-performance PCs at affordable prices. It has ...
