NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2001

Fitch--The ratings on The Eastman Kodak Company's senior notes are lowered from 'A+' to 'A' by Fitch. The 'F1' rating on the company's commercial paper program is affirmed. The Rating Outlook is Negative.

The downgrade reflects the impact of the lagging U.S. economy on all of Eastman Kodak's business as well as difficulties in the company's Health Imaging business. As a result, revenues and operating earnings will be weaker and debt will remain higher than previously anticipated.
