Flights increased gradually at Chicago airports Tuesday, even as the aviation industry tried to deal with continuing problems.
In one case, a flight was forced to return to O'Hare International Airport after the crew had problems with the plane's radio.
American Airlines flight 1555 from O'Hare to Los Angeles took off at 9:06 a.m. but had problems talking to air traffic controllers, airline spokeswoman Mary Frances Fagan said.
The Boeing 737-800 turned around and returned to O'Hare, and there were reports that an F-16 fighter scrambled to meet it, Fagan said, though she could not ...
