In Asheville, N.C., each copy of the weekday Citizen-Times is read by 1.287 people. In Bridgewater, N.J., each copy of the Courier News goes before 3.1 pairs of eyeballs Monday through Friday.
The readership numbers are the first to be provided by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) in its semi-annual FAS-FAX circulation report. More than 50 papers are listed, qualified to do so by participating in ABC's Reader Profile Service, which audits reader surveys conducted by third-party polling organizations.
