In his new book, Will Clower recommends we follow "the Mediterranean example."
Homocysteine? Carbohydrates? Fats?
"It's bad enough at this point, it's not clear which studies are relevant and which aren't," says Clower (rhymes with flower). "It's a crisis condition characterized by lack of consensus."
So, until the experts can get all their ducks in a row, there's only one option left for the rest of us: Look around, see what seems to work and do that.
