TOKYO, Sept 21 Asia Pulse - The U.S. Seventh Fleet aircraft carrier, the USS Kitty Hawk, left its base in Yokosuka, southwest of Tokyo, for the Indian Ocean Friday to take part in possible retaliatory action for last week's terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.
Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyers and Japan Coast Guard patrol boats accompanied the carrier into the Pacific Ocean.
