Soldiers with the 10th Mountain Division, stationed at Fort Drum near Watertown, have received their first orders in the new war against terrorism.
"Elements" of the division "are deploying in support of force protection/security enhancement measures and are staying within the continental United States," according to a statement released Sunday by Fort Drum's public affairs office.
"Force protection" includes measures to safeguard troops, facilities, equipment and information.
