SouthFirst Bancshares, Inc. ("SouthFirst") (AMEX:SZB) announced today that J. Malcomb Massey, Chief Executive Officer and President of Pension and Benefit Trust Company, a subsidiary of SouthFirst, and a director of SouthFirst and its subsidiary, First Federal of the South ("First Federal"), has been elected as President of SouthFirst.
