When Francis Ford Coppola searched for the right company to make his Mammarella organic pasta sauce, he personally interviewed no less than 50 vendors. Francis, as his employees affectionately call him, is a lovable, but exacting, perfectionist.
Indeed, Coppola's master's hand has touched every aspect of his wine empire, from the pasta sauce made from his own recipe, to the Edizione Pennino Zinfandel label named after his maternal grandfather, to the pens he brought back from Paris--"the absolutely best pen he ever used"-- now sold in Coppola's historic Inglenook chateau.
