Sep. 27--A luxury hotel stay in downtown Seattle for half-price? It's no misprint.
Seattle Super Saver, an incentive program designed to attract travelers during the off-season, is getting a head start this year in an attempt to win back customers leery of traveling after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Some of the nation's hoteliers have cut staff and postponed expansion plans since the attacks. Occupancy rates remain well below the levels recorded before Sept. 11, despite a rebound in recent days.
