NOW just imagine. . . just imagine a block-sized silvery flying saucer landing on the green outside Cardiff's old City Hall.
And from it emerges a whooping mob of Martians, friendly little green men anxious to show us what life on their Red Planet is like.
Sensational, eh?
But something very similar happened in South Wales a century or so ago - and the visitors who came to Cardiff in 1891 were as exotically alien to yesterday's citizens as those Martians would be to today's.
