Shares in Marconi, the besieged telecoms equipment maker, have slumped in recent days with several analysts predicting the debt-laden group will not be able to trade out of its troubles.
But some sector-watchers believe Marconi is on a more secure financial footing than the share price slump suggests.
Barring a further collapse in the telecoms infrastructure market, the shares can be viewed as oversold, they said.
