KNIGHTSEN, Calif._It's like a scene out of a bad horror film.
The town of Knightsen is under siege by an invading army of small crickets, scurrying across carpets, climbing the walls, crowding around window sills and trying to squeeze under doors.
"I'm 70 years old and I've never seen anything like it," said resident JoAnn Jackson. "Once in a while, you get one in your house, but not like this; they're just swarming."
For the past five days, crickets have been emerging from the various crop fields surrounding Knightsen, marching across roads like a thick moving carpet, squeezing themselves into any crevice they can find.
