PRESIDENT George Bush's crackdown on terrorism finances has been boosted by a UN security council resolution passed late on Friday.
The council unanimously approved a US proposal to freeze the finances of terrorist suspects and their military and political backers.
But the US still faces major obstacles in its push to stop the flow of terrorist funds. Using global financial networks and bribery, Asian, Russian and local crime gangs have deftly sidestepped such moves by previous administrations.
