A unique family tree is growing in central Orange County, producing as if it were from an athletic orchard. The produce? Football players.
No question, the roots of the Rivera family tree are deeply seeded in football and watered annually by tradition.
If it's high school football season, the Riveras are holding small family reunions each week at Santa Ana Stadium or some other venue, gathering to watch a son or nephew play.
This season, their eyes are on Ramon Rivera Sanchez, a senior quarterback at Anaheim High, and Joseph Rivera, a senior quarterback at Century High.
